Application Deadline: read more: Description:The European Financial Seminar is a one-week working session that was established in 1990. The 19th edition of the annual seminar will be held from Sunday, April 18th until Thursday, April 22nd, 2010 at the P&G European Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. Travel and accommodation expenses for all participants will be paid by P&G. During this week, you and other excellent students from around the world will run a multinational business, developing your management and financial skills by working in teams and interacting with experienced P&G executives. The EFS is an opportunity for you to learn within P&G. The EFS will expose you to a real life business case study, which challenges you to develop strategies and drive decisions together with top students from all over the world. The European Financial Seminar will give you the opportunity to: - Develop your management and financial skills. - Test yourself in an international business environment. - Interact with fellow students and experienced P&G executives to solve the types of business challenges and management issues you would face when working in an international organization like Procter & Gamble. We don’t communicate many details about the content upfront, as part of the challenge is to cope with the many surprises that you will encounter during the seminar. So, don’t miss this unforgettable global experience! EFS 2010 FAQs 1. What is European Financial Leadership Seminar (EFS)? The European Financial Leadership Seminar (EFS) is a 5 days case-study type of working session that was established in 1990. During this session, you and other excellent students from around the world will run a multi-national business, developing your management and financial skills by working in teams and interacting with experienced P&G executives. The EFS will expose you to a real-life business case study, which challenges you to develop strategies and drive decisions together with top students from all over the EMEA region. Application Deadline: February 14th, 2010 2. I have already graduated, can I still join? No, the course is meant for students only. But you are more than welcome to apply for a full time job. 3. What will it cost me? Nothing, just time. P&G will take care of all travel and accommodation costs. 4. How often is the event organized? Once a year. In 2010 it will be from April 18th to April 22nd. 5. Where is it organized ? The course takes place in a Geneva, Switzerland every year, where P&G has its EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) headquarters, so that during the seminar you will experience the real office life of P&G. 6. What is expected from me during the event? First of all, we expect you to actively participate and have a lot of fun working with fellow students and with the organizing team. During the 5 days, you will work intensively on solving case studies. You will receive the necessary training to accomplish your task and present your work. 7. Is this a recruiting event? The objective of this seminar event is to give you a perspective on Finance function inside P&G. Following the participation to the seminar, we can discuss further opportunities within the company but the participation alone does not guarantee employment. 8. What is the selection process? The selection process will be identical to that for full time jobs and internship applications. 9. What are the selection criteria for the EFS? We are looking for top university students who combine leadership skills with strong analytical capabilities. Participants are expected to graduate in 2010 or 2011. 10. What are the different steps in the application procedure for the EFS? The first step is to apply online for the EFS. (This includes answering a number of questions and submitting CV + Cover Letter). Then you will have to take 2 assessment tests online. If invited by P&G, you will take another test in our offices followed by 3 interviews. 13. Is EFS only for students with specific majors? A specific major or degree is not required. 14. How should I prepare for the EFS? You are not expected to do any pre-work before coming to the seminar. However, it is always interesting to have a good understanding of our Company before attending a Business Course with us.
